FIRST AID RESPONDER
A first responder is a person who is trained to provide immediate medical assistance at the scene of an emergency. They are often the first to arrive and are responsible for stabilizing patients, delivering life-saving interventions, and coordinating with other medical professionals.

FREC 4
A FREC 4 medic has completed the Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF), is prepared to respond to a variety of prehospital emergencies and urgent situations.

They understand the structure and function of the heart, how to use an electrocardiogram (ECG), and how to manage a patient's airway

They can provide efficient care, uphold safety protocols, and deliver care for a range of emergencies, including major incidents, mental health crises, and sick and injured children

They can assess a child's psychological, social, and emotional development, and provide appropriate advice and support
